Checklist when looking at a house

So this blog post will be an ongoing work in progress, while making some blueberry muffins this morning I started coming up with a list of things to check when we are looking at houses. I’ll continually update and edit this list.
- Bring a bag of popcorn and test the microwave. The best microwave I’ve ever owned (and still do, it’s just in the basement) can cook a bag in 2:00 minutes flat, with hardly a kernel unpopped. Our current microwave, an overhead above the stove, can’t do it in 4 minutes.
- Fully extend every drawer, see if they fall out of their tracks.
- Flush Every toilet, see if they stick, run forever, etc
- Run every sink and shower, check for water pressure
- Taste the drinking water
- Open all the doors, see if they stay open as they should or close slowly (my current office door won’t stay open all the way)
- Check air filter to see if it was changed recently
- Tall shower heads, we're both tall 6'3" and 5'10", we don't need a dinky shower head.
I’ll definitely add more to this list over time!
